How to apply Timmerhout PT?
Application can be done with brush or felt roller. But first take into account our concise step-by-step plan.
Preparation: This product can only be applied when no mould or wood-infesting insects are present. Do you still suffer from these? Then first opt for a treatment with Combi PT, for example. Make sure the timber is clean and dry before you start.
Application: Apply a first layer with a roller or brush, do this with a mouth mask just to be sure, as contact with the mouth is not safe. Only when the first coat is fully penetrated may you apply a second coat. This takes about 24 hours.
Finish: Have you finished with Timmerhout PT? Be sure not to throw your leftovers in the sewage water, this is toxic to aquatic life. Do not simply clean your material with water either, but with white spirit. By the way, this product is colourless and offers your wood no decorative aspect. If you still want to give it a nice colour, you can consider finishing it with a stain.
